  • 1 cup milk or yogurt
  • 1 tbsp honey (optional)

Method

  1. Blend all ingredients until smooth. That's it.

What You're Practicing

  • The benchmark smoothie — if you can make this, you can make any smoothie.
  • Frozen fruit > fresh fruit + ice (thicker, colder, no dilution).

Supplement add-ons (nutritional impact per serving):

  • Whey protein (1 scoop vanilla or strawberry, 30g): +120 cal, +25g protein. The most popular smoothie base for protein shakes — strawberry-banana masks any chalky protein taste. Strawberry-flavored whey creates a milkshake-like experience.
  • Creatine monohydrate (5g): +0 cal. Completely undetectable in this sweet, fruity blend. The simple sugars from banana and strawberry spike insulin, which improves creatine uptake into muscle cells.
  • Collagen peptides (15g): +54 cal, +13g protein. Dissolves invisibly. Strawberries provide 85mg vitamin C per cup — one of the highest fruit sources — which is required for your body to synthesize collagen from the peptides.
  • Greens powder (1 scoop, ~8g): +30 cal, +5g carbs. Strawberry-banana is sweet enough to mask earthy greens. The smoothie will turn brownish-green — not pretty, but nutritionally dense. Provides concentrated vitamins A, C, K and iron.
