Ingredients
- 1.5 lbs flank steak, sliced thin against the grain
- 1/4 cup soy sauce
- 2 tbsp brown sugar
- 1 tbsp sesame oil
- 4 garlic cloves, minced
- 1 tbsp ginger, grated
- 1 Asian pear or apple, grated (tenderizer)
- 1 tbsp oil
- Rice, kimchi, scallions, sesame seeds for serving
Method

Marinate beef in soy sauce, sugar, sesame oil, garlic, ginger, and grated pear for 30 min (or up to overnight).
