Ingredients

  • 1.5 lbs Italian sausage links (sweet or hot)
  • 3 bell peppers (mixed colors), sliced
  • 2 onions, sliced
  • 3 garlic cloves, sliced
  • 1/2 cup white wine or chicken stock
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • Italian rolls for serving

Method

  1. Brown sausages in oil 4 min per side. Remove.

  2. Sauté peppers and onions 6 min until softened. Add garlic, 1 min.

  3. Add wine, scrape fond. Return sausages. Cover, simmer 10 min until sausages are cooked through.

  4. Serve on Italian rolls or over polenta.
