Ingredients

  • 2 beef patties (1/3 lb each)
  • 2 cups cooked white rice
  • 2 fried eggs
  • Brown gravy: 2 tbsp butter, 2 tbsp flour, 1.5 cups beef stock, 1 tbsp soy sauce, pepper
  • Scallions

Method

  1. Make gravy: melt butter, add flour (brown roux, 2 min). Whisk in stock and soy sauce. Simmer 5 min.

  2. Season and cook beef patties 3-4 min per side.

  3. Fry eggs sunny-side up.

  4. Assemble: rice in bowl, patty on top, egg on patty, gravy over everything. Scallions.
